Wedding speech examples for two grooms or two brides
Most speech advice is written for a bride and a groom, and the templates show it. These are full speeches for weddings with two grooms or two brides, from friends, siblings and parents. Most of them read like any good wedding speech, because most of the job is the same.
Check the words they use
Husband, wife, partner, spouse: ask the couple what they call each other and use that. It's the one detail people notice when it's wrong.
Rework the traditional lines
"Giving away the bride" and "welcome to the family, son" may need a rewrite. A parent can welcome a new child-in-law without the stock phrase.
Tell the same kind of story
The speech is about two people who chose each other. You don't need to make it about anything else unless the couple wants you to.
