Privacy Policy

The short version: we keep your speech only as long as the page you get back needs it, we never publish it or use it for anything but your result, payments go through Stripe and we never see your card number, and there are no accounts, so there is nothing to log into and nothing to close.

What we collect, and why

The speech check and the first-draft builder

• Your draft, or your answers to the builder’s questions,plus the role you pick and the couple’s names if you give them. We need these to produce the result.
• The result itself, which quotes lines from your draft.

Both are stored under a random, unguessable link and deleted after seven days. The link is unlisted and the page is marked so search engines do not index it. We do not read your speech, and we do not use it to improve anything.

Purchases

• Paymentis handled by Stripe on Stripe’s pages. We never see or store your card number. Stripe sends us the email address you entered at checkout so we can send you the link to your order, and a payment reference so we can find your order if you write to us.
• A paid rewrite and delivery pack, with the check and draft they were made from, are kept for 30 days so you can come back to them. There are no accounts, so the link and the order email are how you get back.

Email

We send one email per purchase, with the link to your order. We do not send newsletters or marketing email. If that ever changes, it will be opt-in and this page will say so first.

Contact form

If you write to us, we keep your message and address in our inbox so we can reply. Nothing else happens to it.

Site analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It does not use cookies and does not identify you. It records the page, the country, the device type, and the referring site.

Who else touches your data

These are the only third parties involved, and each one only for the job named:

• Anthropicruns the AI model that reads your speech and produces the check, the draft, the rewrite, and the delivery pack. Your text is sent to it for that purpose only. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, text sent through its API is not used to train its models.
• Vercel hosts the site and runs the analytics described above.
• Upstash provides the database where results and drafts are stored for the periods above.
• Stripe processes payments.
• Resend delivers the order email.

We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or pass it to anyone not on this list.

Cookies

The site itself sets none. Your browser may keep a small amount of local storage for convenience, like the copy-button state, which never leaves your device. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages.

Children

The site is for adults giving wedding speeches. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Deleting your data early

Everything deletes on its own schedule, seven or 30 days as above. If you want a draft or a result gone sooner, email hello@toastdoctor.com with the link to the page and we will delete it. If you want the email address from an order removed, say so in the same message.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it, and anything that expands what we collect will be described here before it takes effect.
